Umeå University in Lycksele runs its activities at the MB Community Centre, Norra Torggatan 12, above the Library and close to the coach station. More than 200 university programme students have obtained their degrees at Umeå University in Lycksele since the start in 2000.
Lycksele is situated along the E12, the Blue Highway, about 130 kilometres northwest of Umeå.
The Municipality of Lycksele has about 13 000 inhabitants, of which more than 8 000 live in central Lycksele.
